In 2013 I met Top Joe - a man in a hi-vis jacket. Welsh, buddhist…and highly confused; he became known for giving 'conferences' on a range of topics from Dyson vacuum cleaners to the transient nature of life. In a deeply confusing episode he won
Liverpool Echo Comedian of the Year. His conferences took place in warehouses, theatres, shopping centres and saunas. He performed numerous times at Edinburgh Fringe, Latitude, Leicester & Liverpool Comedy Festivals. In 2016 Top Joe was commissioned by Word of Warning and Contact Theatre resulting in the solo theatre/live art piece '
Comedy'.
